A Cat Lover's Guide to Seminyak: One Perfect Day in Our Neighborhood
DOKOYO has called Seminyak home for fifteen years. Here is how we would spend one perfect day in our neighborhood — cats included at every stop.
08:00 — Sunrise swim
Seminyak Beach is calmest early. Locals walk their dogs; the beach cats supervise from the warung roofs. Swim-ready DOKOYO doubles as your suit, so pack light.
10:00 — Coffee and breakfast
The cafés along Jl. Kayu Aya do Bali's best breakfast bowls. Order anything with dragonfruit; tip: the quieter garden cafés almost always have a resident cat who accepts respectful admiration.
12:00 — Visit The Cat House
Our store at Jl. Raya Seminyak No.18 is open daily 8 AM–9 PM. Try your size, browse every print in person, and meet our Chief Cat Officer, who has strong opinions about everything.
14:00 — Warung lunch
Skip the tourist spots once and find a family warung: nasi campur, cold es jeruk, and a ceiling fan doing its best. This is Bali's real luxury.
16:00 — Golden hour walk
The lanes between Seminyak and Petitenget are full of frangipani, temple offerings, and street cats who have perfected the art of being photographed. Be generous with the slow blinks.
18:30 — Sunset
Back to the beach. Bali sunsets are non-negotiable. The sky does its thing; everyone applauds; the cats remain unimpressed.
Coming to Bali? Drop by The Cat House and tell us about your cat. We mean it — this is our favorite subject.
